IMPROVING HEALTH & WELLBEING

It may seem obvious, but if you want to improve your health and wellbeing, or learn how to be healthy, it requires that you make changes.

It makes no sense to continue doing what you’ve always done and expect a different result.  Very often resistance arises because of an attachment to the behaviour and an unwillingness to change but also because of a lack of understanding of the effect of the compromising behaviour on one's health.

People tend to make change in one of two ways. One way tends to be "re-active" to a situation, such as when faced with a crisis-whether it be environmental or personal. An example might be having a sudden heart attack, or being diagnosed with cancer or some other debilitating illness. Such an experience can create massive upheaval in ones life and often promotes deep personal reflection.

The other incentive for change is when people are educated on how to be healthy or how to improve their health and wellbeing. Through education - understanding arises, facilitating a willingness and a desire to make changes. Continuing improvement is enhanced with re-enforcement and support.

The basics of psycho-neuro-immunology which recognises the connection of the physical, mental and emotional health of people forms a foundation of the education module of the Work Health Wisdom program and introduces the key strategies on how to be healthy.

In addition, ongoing support is provided through our on line resources of Strategies for Wellness, available through the members section of our web site
